I’m a graphic designer and illustrator with an academic background in the literary and performing arts. After studying theater studies and modern German literature, I completed my Ph.D. in cultural theory and history while working as a research fellow in Berlin, Germany.

As an academic, knowledge production and representation through images have always fascinated me: so too has the seductive and deceptive potential of images. That theme pervades my work to this day.

I am currently living in Princeton, NJ, working as a designer and illustrator. I specialize in historically informed editorial illustration, science communication, and knowledge visualization, with a special interest in infographics.
